Kalpit Jain
Who I am, the kind of software I build, and how to reach me.
I'm Kalpit, a software architect and developer with more than ten years of experience. I work with founders and product teams as their technical partner, designing and building production systems end to end: architecture, database design, backend, frontend, and the cloud infrastructure underneath.
Most of those engagements have run for years, well past the first launch, and much of what I built is still in use. I'm also a Google Cloud certified Professional Cloud Architect.
What I do
I build custom software: web applications, the APIs and data behind them, and the infrastructure they run on. Usually it's the product the business is built around, not a side tool, so it has to work from the first day and keep working as the business changes.
Projects reach me at different stages. Some are a rough idea with no specification, and the job is to work out what the system needs to be and build it. Some are already running, with a team that needs someone to own the technical side. And some have stalled: an earlier version that wasn't what the client needed, a codebase that hadn't kept up with its traffic, an open-source project that was never meant for commercial use. There the job is to find what's actually wrong and fix it without stopping work on the product.
Much of my work is on software people rely on every day: the system a hospital uses to run its operating rooms, a financial charting site serving millions of page views a month, a marketplace that runs without anyone on the client's side in the loop. Along the way I've built AI and LLM features added to existing products, multi-tenant SaaS with strict separation between tenants, real-time features like live dashboards and chat, and event-driven workflows.
